Gun Violence Prevention Expert to Join Del. Norton to Discuss Legislation’s Potential Negative Impact on Gun Safety in D.C.

Executive director of the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence, Josh Horwitz, will join Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.) this morning at a gathering to discuss Rep. Thomas Massie’s (R-Ky.) amendment passed yesterday in the House that would prevent the District of Columbia from enforcing current gun laws supported by law enforcement and residents, including gun owners.

CSGV STATEMENT ON VERDICT IN DUNN TRIAL

Washington, DC-Yesterday, a Florida jury convicted Michael David Dunn on three counts of attempted second degree murder and one count of firing into an unoccupied vehicle. The jury was unable to reach a vedict on the most serious charge of first-degree murder, however, which forced Judge Russell Healey to declare a mistrial on that count.
